The Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers (ACHMM) is the national membership organization for CHMMs. The ACHMM supports the local chapters, coordinates the annual national conference, and administers the national review course. The Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) is the certifying organization for CHMMs. The IHMM establishes standards for the credential, administers the certification exam, and publishes the hazardous materials desktop reference (Managing Hazardous Materials).
